Why Choose Structured Cabling System Design?

Structured Cable Design

Structured cable design is the full infrastructure of all the cables and the associated hardware. This design provides a complete solution to a project’s telecommunications network needs. Such an infrastructural design serves to be useful for a variety of purposes. These include but are not limited to transmitting data via a computer network or using a telephone service. The entire network shouldn’t depend upon the devices that are present within the network.

Get structured cable design from NYE to meet the performance requirements for data and voice in the new heterogeneous communication environments.

Compliance With Local Standards

will provide you with the best structured cabling design that can take care of all your project requirements based on varying standards. We are certified service providers for low voltage specialty systems and networks in Chicago.

Our team of engineers has more than decades of experience combined in the field of structured cabling. Our engineers will design your cabling system quickly to meet and exceed all project deadlines.

Structured Cabling Standards

Structured cabling standards are followed across the States and they are published by TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association), ISO/IEC and CENELEC. In the US, TIA issues ANSI/TIA-568 standards for cabling and telecommunications within commercial premises and it is very similar to the ISO and CENELEC documents.

Some of the standards Chicago regulators require are listed as follows :

  • For Generic Telecommunications Cabling (Customer Premises), 2015 the standard is ANSI/TIA-568.0-D
  • For Commercial Building Telecommunications Infrastructure, 2015 the standard is ANSI/TIA-568.1-D
  • ANSI/TIA-568-C.2, 2009 is the standard for BTPTCC along with Components Standard
  • ANSI/TIA-568-C.3 is the standard for OFCC Standard, 2008
  • TIA-569-B, 2004; Amd 1 2009 is the standard for CBTSP
  • ANSI/TIA/EIA-606-A-2002 is the standard for Administration of Commercial Telecommunication Infrastructure
  • UL 50 is the standard for boxes and cabinets
  • UL 943 for GFCI.
  • UL 489 for circuit breakers with molded casing
  • National, State, and Local OSHA for fire and building codes
  • IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) 802.3 for Ethernet
  • IEEE 802.3Z for Gigabit Ethernet with optical fiber
  • IEEE 802.3ab for Gigabit Ethernet with 4-pair category 5E or anything higher
  • IEEE 802.3ae for 10Gigabit Ethernet with optical fiber
  • IEEE 802.11 for Wireless LAN
  • Some other standards to guide the structured cabling design include the National Electric Code, the Chicago Building Code, and the BICSI for Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual, the FCC Part 68.50, and the National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA).

Benefits of Compliance With Standards

  • Conforming with the transmission line and physical requirements
  • Standardizing the examining process for a proposed expansion of system along with other modifications; and
  • Developing uniformity in documentation

Structured cabling designs typically include facilities for entrance; pathways for horizontal and vertical backbone design; cables for horizontal and vertical backbone design; horizontal cables; horizontal pathways; outlets for work area; telecommunications closets; equipment rooms; faculties for cross-connection; MUTOA or (multi-user telecommunications outlet assemblies); consolidation points; and transition points.

The facility for entrance includes all the components required for cabling purposes. It serves to be the source of connection with the external service facilities with the in-premises cabling system. The entrance for the facility may include cables, pathways for service entrance, circuit protection devices, connecting as well as transition hardware.

This facility can house the transition outside site cabling for cabling approved for the purpose of intra-building construction. It normally includes transition for fire-grade cables. This facility also serves as network demarcation between the customer premises and the service provider as per the requirements. Currently, regional as well as national electric codes guide the placement of various electrical protection devices.

The position of this facility for entrance relies on the kind of facility as well as the route of external site cabling which can either be aerial or burial. It also depends upon the building’s architectural design, and its aesthetic considerations. The 4 principal kinds of faculties for entrance include a tunnel, underground, aerial and buried.

Why you Need to Equip your Facility with Modern Cables

Cabling network is where all the data travels among various components of the network for improved communication. These components and equipment may include scanners, printers, wireless, computers, video signal, TV, and projectors.

NY Engineers is right on top of all these rapidly-changing technologies that are taking place in the modern era. We will provide you with the best presentation and collaboration solution that your project requires. These days, new uses of audio-visual technologies appear on a daily basis.

In different sites presentation rooms and classes, overhead projections, as well as wall-mounted displays, interactive panels, and sound whiteboards, have almost become a norm. In medical rooms and hospitals, they integrate entertainment and dispense information. Moreover, in business, different visual-audio tools have become essential in various interdepartmental and cross-departmental collaborations and presentations.

What We Have to Offer?

With the passage of time our world is adopting new technologies and due to this advancement different corporate entities are in search of new, improved and better telecommunication solutions. These solutions need to be very easy to maintain and must also be very cost effective. This is where an efficient structured cabling design comes in to play. These services lay the foundation for successful and highly productive business communication. From video surveillance to the telephone network, these structured cabling design services can effectively manage all their business requirements effortlessly.

NY Engineering Inc is proud to present its expertise in all these areas. We have a team of highly trained professionals who can design your structured cabling design.

Here are some of the significant advantages of shifting from your traditional infrastructure for communication to the modern age-structured cabling design services. If you haven’t thought of getting rid of your conventional point-to-point then this list of merits will help you make your decision.

High ROI

If you have installed structured cabling design then you are in for getting higher returns on investment. The reason behind that is these entire services combine the IT network for voice, video, and data.

It lowers the overall cost maintenance and operation for your business.

Well-Prepared Network

With structured cabling design, your IT network and infrastructure is well prepared for any expansions n the future. Structured cabling design allows you to conveniently add any future technologies within the existing system.

Added Flexibility

Conventional networks and infrastructures are nothing more than a headache with all these clusters of wires. Structured cabling consolidates these clusters in a unified form and can easily transmit data in multiple formats. Of course with consolidated clusters, you can easily manage your network for maintenance and repairs as well. The entire area looks more aesthetically neat as well.

Easily Manageable

Structured cabling design is far simpler to manage particularly if you compare it with conventional communication infrastructure. The fact of the matter is that there is no need to employing a large team for managing the cabling data center. Structured cabling design enables you to do it with minimal staff and in a more manageable way.

Aesthetically Pleasing

In terms of aesthetic value, structured cabling design is a lot more attractive and neat if you compare it with the multiple wiring of conventional systems.
