Founded in 1754 as King’s College, Columbia University is one of the most revered institutions in the world. Occupying more than six New York City blocks and encompassing twenty schools, the university is the oldest higher learning institution in the state of New York and the fifth oldest in the nation, being one of the nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. NY Engineers was involved with the designing of the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the renovated glass washing and sanitizing room. The biological laboratory serves for students and researchers and as a teaching facility.
