Mary McDowell Friends School is one of New York City’s leading schools for students with learning disabilities. It first opened in 1984. Visit the newly renovated state-of-the-art upper school building at 23 Sidney Place in Brooklyn Heights.
How We Helped MARY MCDOWELL SCHOOL
We have provided professional MEP/FA engineering consultation services for the gut renovation. Our proposal was based on the drawings sent and correspondence with our office on 04-29-2016. The project consisted of renovating 5 classrooms within the school. Classrooms are cut in half by folding walls and a sink has been added to the art room. MEP/FA systems are modified to accommodate the new layout with foldable walls.

NY Engineers was involved with the designing of the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the renovated glass washing and sanitizing room. The biological laboratory serves for students and researchers, and as a teaching facility.
