Mott Hall Charter School is a public middle school serving 300 students in grades 6-8. NY Engineers provided engineering consulting services for the pre-lease feasibility survey and report. Our Principals have prepared over 100 similar studies, and have worked for many commercial business owners and property managers. Our proposal entailed a full survey of the MEP/FP systems in the 38,000 ft2, 3-floor plus cellar building, including 15 existing classrooms, restrooms, multipurpose space, utility rooms, and rooftop equipment to determine the feasibility of using the space as a school. NY Engineers submitted a detailed report showing the current conditions of all existing equipment and estimated for equipment lifespans and any projected repairs.
Founded in 1919 as a modern, progressive, free institution by New York academics, The New School is currently home to some 9,300 students.
NY Engineers was involved with the designing of the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the renovated glass washing and sanitizing room. The biological laboratory serves for students and researchers, and as a teaching facility.
Constructed in 1940 as part of the government funded Works Project Administration, Midwood High School is home to a large population of gifted students.
