A new aviation components manufacturing facility, Safran is the world leader in aircraft landing systems internationally operating in 34 countries, employing 54,000 people, with $15B in annual revenue. The new facility contains laboratories, offices, warehouses, a cafeteria, control rooms, a 50 bay trucking and vehicle maintenance facility, and manufacturing process equipment. Innovative Lean Manufacturing ideals were the base of the design.
The facility includes: ultra high temperature furnaces, cooling towers, vacuum pumps, R.O. water, industrial nitrogen and natural gas piping, compressed air, duct extraction system, industrial high voltage electric, humidification control, FM Global sprinkler system, and fire alarm system.
