Fareed Zakaria, a renowned journalist and author, hired NY Engineers to consult a project that involved an extensive renovation due to water damage sustained during Hurricane Irene. Zakaria is well known for his reporting on international relations, trade, and American foreign policy, as Host of CNN’s Fareed Zakaria – Global Positioning Square, author of several books, and as a columnist for Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker. He has also been named one of the 100 leading public intellectuals in the world by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazines.

Recognizable by its red brick exterior and its large arched windows, the Zachary is a charming 6-story building located just steps away from Union Square. Built in 1920 as a 44-unit apartment building, it was converted in 1989 into a condominium.
