PROJECT INFORMATION
Pier 40 was established through the Hudson River Park Act of 1998. The Hudson River Park Trust, which includes Pier 40, is a partnership between both the City and State of New York to help develop a 4-mile stretch on the West side, the waterfront of Manhattan.
HOW WE HELPED PIER 40
NY Engineers help to rehabilitate the Sprinkler System on Pier 40, by means of boroscope inspection, ultrasonic testing, and corrosion analysis-which will help to save approximately 70% of piping for re-use. NY Engineers also plans to extend the life of the pipe with annual corrosion flushing, all while maintaining full access to the pier.
