Wingstop, NJ

CHALLENGES

Wingstop- a popular QSR franchise was planning to open a new store at Pennsauken, New Jersey. The main challenges were to maintain better ventilation, look for better energy utilization, avoid bad odor in the main kitchen areas, and follow the design guidelines set by Wingstop.

The client was looking for a design to save cost and install types of equipment that are easy to maintain.

Wingstop

SOLUTION

Our team of experts reviewed the floor plans and franchise design guidelines shared by the architect to understand the space, load, and connections required to design Wingstop.

To overcome the ventilation issue, our engineers provided a dedicated exhaust fan for the kitchen, which helped to eliminate odor and maintained proper ventilation for the kitchen area. A separate RTU was provided for dining spaces’ heating and cooling requirements. We also suggested adding grease traps outside the kitchen for the grease waste, which helps in maintenance and waste disposal.

We designed the MEP system in 2 weeks to comply with Wingstop guidelines and applicable state code requirements, this resulted in faster departmental approvals and helped the client to start the new store within time.
